Feedback Fix for Acoustic Guitars
« on: May 05, 2018, 03:01:56 PM »
For all you acoustic players who might occassion an open mike, but find yourself getting into a slight or even massive feedback problem, here is a quick and inexpensive solution:

I've used this type of product many times and it's a no-brainer. Just slide the puck (as most players call it) into the sound hole and have a blast! There are a few guitars out there that this will NOT work on and it's obvious... those with anything other than a round sound hole.

What to do then? Easy, stuff the holes with foam rubber.

You cut out shapes slightly larger to fit and you'll accomplish the same result. Not very pretty I agree but it works. Lastly when doing any of this, especially the foam rubber deal, make sure you don't dampen the strings in any way. So get out there and have fun and eliminate that annoying feedback!
